Over
the next 30 days, I will be learning to fly a simple RC Helicopter that I
recently was given as a gift: The Air Hogs Fly Crane. Yes it
doesn't sound that hard... Take off, zoom around, and land right? Well it’s far more
difficult than that. Many factors go
into flying an RC helicopter, even one as simple as the Fly Crane. Its nothing like a RC car where you are able
to just stop at any time. A RC
Helicopter must be in constant motion throughout its flight or it will end
badly. Hopefully by showing my journey
to advance my learning in flying my Helicopter, anybody else interested in
doing so will benefit from my experience.
Even
though my RC Helicopter is very simple in comparison to the much larger and
complex (and expensive) RC Helicopters that you may be more familiar with, the very
same Aerodynamics affect them.
By
the end of these next 30 days, I plan to be able to fly around a decent sized
room (classroom) without hitting anything.
I also want to be able to swoop down with the retractable hook and
transport the baskets from point A to point B (without crashing).
